Medifast Recipes Videos

Even though the food is pretty great, if you’ve been on Medifast for a few weeks, you will be looking for ways to jazz things up. Fortunately, there are lots of Medifast Recipes to help you with this. Collecting these recipes has become something of a part-time hobby of mine. Unfortunately, these recipes rarely have photos and it’s sometimes hard to know if you are actually preparing the food correctly.

Thanks to YouTube, I’ve recently discovered Stacey Hawkins, the Time Savour Gourmet. Hawkins bills herself as the “Queen of Lean and Green” and she’s uploaded over 85 episodes of her internet cooking show so far. This is a pretty incredible resource for people on Medifast who know their way around their kitchen. I haven’t personally tried any of these recipes yet, but I’ve really enjoyed watching them and planning out meals for the week to come. Hawkins seems very legitimate and most of the meals would be great even when you are done with the weight loss portion of Medifast and have just moved on to eating healthy well-proportioned meals.

Here are a few recipes that I’m pretty excited to try. First up, Lean and Green Boneless Buffalo Wings. Are you kidding me? Buffalo Wings are terrible for you, but I love them and they’re one of the things that I occasionally get serious cravings for, especially during football season. Check out this video for a Medifast safe recipe:

Next up, Lean and Green Meatballs! My mouth is watering.

So, check out her YouTube channel and let me know what you think. There are over 85 videos, and while they are all healthy, not all of them are technically Lean and Green recipes according to the Medifast specifications. Also, some of the videos feature recipes that are fairly complex, but they all look really delicious. The fact that they are documented with video makes me a little more optimistic about trying them out myself.

  1. That's the downside to trying to demonstrate cooking with video. But the upside is that you can fast forward to the important parts and skip some of the talking!

  2. The only thing I don't like about some her recipes are that she is making them for her and her family. I'm a single person, so I only like to make maybe recipes that have at the most 2 or 3 servings to them so that way they don't sit in my fridge and go bad. Otherwise, what she's doing sounds great!

An update on my weight loss….Since January 4th, I'm now down 27 pounds!! The weight loss slowed down a little bit for a week or so, but I've started walking more and I've seen a difference!

Keep up the good work everyone!

  3. OMG buffalo wings are my favorite! I haven't eaten them in years because I became a vegetarian, but honestly, it's the meat dish I miss most 🙁

    1. I think it would be better to use the Vegetable Soup as part of your Lean and Green. Medifast works best if you really follow the system.

  4. Do you know if the 5-7 oz of protein for the lean & green meal can be divided up – half for lunch, half for dinner?

    1. Hi Sandra. You can divide the Lean and green into two meals. but eat all or most of the meat at one sitting. We need enough fat at one time to constrict the gall bladder at least once a day. If we don’t. we are in danger of getting sludge and maybe stones in our gall bladder. Instead of getting healthy, we can have major problems.

      1. Alicia – I’ve experienced a lot of really bad gall bladder pains while trying other diets (not on the medifast diet though!) could you go into a little more detail about needing to eat protein in one sitting? What might cause the gall bladder pain?
