Medifast – Day 7

I’m on Day 7 of Medifast and I am feeling awesome. I have so much energy that I’m not sure how I am going to make it through the rest of the work day. I want to go outside and just start running.

I’ve decided that I’ll post updates on Mondays as opposed to every day. Typing out the daily list of what I’ve eaten gets boring even for me, so I will spare you that. Instead, I will use Monday to post my weekly weigh in.

01/05/2010 – 225 pounds
01/11/2010 – 216 pounds

9 pounds lost in week one!

I really had my fingers crossed that I would make it to 215, but I will take the 9 pounds. Not bad for 1 week, during which I felt really great, had no hunger pangs and really just enjoyed life. I don’t expect to recapture this type of loss in the weeks to come. Instead, I will be aiming for 2-3 pounds a week.

Since New Years, I’ve been in contact with a lot of people who have been following my progress and letting me know about their own weight loss. You guys have no idea how encouraging this has been to me. I’ve implemented a new comments system here on the site so you can more easily leave comments and keep us up to date on your own progress. You can even sign in through Facebook or Twitter. So, let us know how you’re doing and let’s stick together throughout this journey.

  1. Today is Day 1 for me. Thank you for the Lean and Green Recipes! I am no cook and was really worried from reading the recipe book they gave me. It seemed mostly to require a grill. But I found you site and it had way more options so thanks!

  2. Hi there fellow Medifaster…
I just came across your blog and site while searching for recipes. I am trying to get back on plan after many months of sliding backwards. I was very successful my first time last year but these first few days are killers. You are doing agreat job here and yes I think it is helpful to share too.

  3. Hey Darlene, Thanks for the kind comments. I'm definitely familiar with backsliding. But, the important thing to remember is that it's an ongoing process. I'm going to be hitting my goal almost a year later than I had originally planned, and that's completely due to my backsliding. Life gets crazy. The important thing is to keep plugging away. Let us know how you do after the tough first few days. Don't get discouraged!

  4. Hi Kim, Thanks for the comment! Very happy to hear that you found some recipes that worked for you. I am adding more recipes as I find them. If you find any good ones that we don't have listed here, be sure to let us know.

  5. Great Job! I jsut started yesterday and had a splitting headache all day! I hope today is better. Need some encouragement and your story definetly did that for me, thanks! 🙂
