Chicken Strips

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of Medifast Snack Crackers
  • 6 ounces chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 Tbs. Walden Farms salad dressing, any flavor

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a food processor, pulse one packet of Medifast Snack Crackers. These need to be pulsed into very fine crumbs.

Dip chicken VERY lightly into Walden Farms Salad dressing. Shake off the excess dressing. Basically, you just want to get the chicken damp, so that the crumbs will cling to them.

Press the chicken strips into the crumbs. Take your time and get the chicken nice and coated. Then, spray a baking sheet with Pam or some other non-stick cooking spray.

Put the chicken on the sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes.

    1. Good Luck Rose, You can do it. I have to loose 100 lbs. I started two days before Xmas. started at 237 and now I’m down to 212. I have fallen off a couple of times but still drank the water and had the shakes and I still lost. I know If I had not fallen off and lost 3 days of fat burning I would have lost more. I try not to get discourage and keep on going! You can do this! Best of Luck!

      1. You can do it! Last year, starting the very first day, I began…I didn’t think I could do it but my coach & best friend talked me into the second month and then losing so fast motivated me…and I lost 100 lbs before the end of the year! I still have 50 to go! Feel soooo MUCH BETTER. I promise you that the food will start to taste much much better after the first month or so. 🙂 I was almost raving over my maple & brown sugar oatmeal tonight & I hadn’t added a thing to it! Good luck everyone…if I can do it…..

        1. Sueso, I too have over 100 lbs to lose. Your words were very encouraging. I just started on Wednesday so have a LOONG road to go, My friend and life coach has said the same thing. The food will be better each time. So far, so good. I hated the oatmeal yesterday, but it is one of my friends favorites. I know I just need to change my taste buds. The parmesan puffs are already a favorite!

          1. I started March 30, and as of this morning, I’m HALF WAY there! I’ve lost 36 pounds, and another 36 pounds will put me at 179, right where I want to be. I started at 251 pounds, the heaviest I had ever been. I’m not doing ANYTHING special, just following the plan…

      2. I started two weeks ago. I did great the first week and lost 5 lbs. The second week I only lost 2 lbs. I had a hard time staying strictly to the plan. I had a lot of extra stress last week, but never saw myself as a stress eater. I now know that I am. I have 50lbs I would like to use. I graduate with my bachelor in May and WILL reach my goal by then. Falling off makes you more aware of what you are doing. Stay strong and you will continue on the right path.

        1. Hello Cassandra, what can you do to relieve your stress? I maybe able to help, do you think you are more extroverted or intraverted?

    2. Hi Rosie, How is the medifast working for you? I have been on it since the middle of November and have lost 39 pounds.

    3. Hi Rosie, I have started on Sunday, the prepared food is somewhat easy but now I need to change my cooking habits so looking for recipes. I have faith in you to lose the lbs!;)

    4. I just was looking for recipes and saw the note from the day you started. Are you still with it and what has yur success been thus far

      1. Hi Mamajo, Chris has moved on from running this site and as far as I know is not currently on the Medifast program. I believe after he reached his target weight he switched to maintenance mode.

  1. Hi I just started having trouble sticking to it, but have to do something need to loose 100lbs, any words of wisdom? . Justine keep up the good work. Good Luck

    1. Stay strong, and look at what is going on around you when you fall of the plan. Like extra stress, or temptations. Try to eliminate the temptations. I started making my family eat what I eat for my lean and green for dinner so their is less temptation. And drink lots of water!!

    2. Words of Wisdom? You are alone. I broke into my tatertots last night. AND I had wine…..Just keep going and don’t get discouraged. Sometimes, it helps me when I think HOW much money I am spending on this and if I stick to it strictly it will go faster!! I have 40 lbs to lose. I would like to lose over 20 by June…

        1. If you feel hungry have an extra meal and keep going. If you are having a hard time “cheat” with an extra lean and green or a shake…not food that is going to get you off fat burning! You can do it!!

        2. Rose,
You can do it!!! I started Medifast two weeks after you did. As of this morning, I’ve lost 36 pounds!

If you get hungry, eat a couple of dill pickle spears. Take up to THREE celery stalks and dip them in Walden Farms ranch dip. If you haven’t found them by now, Walden Farms makes a complete line of salad dressings, dips, jams & jellies, syrups, ketchup, barbeque sauces, mayo, shrimp sauce, etc. EVERYTHING THEY MAKE is FAT free, CALORIE free, SUGAR free, CHOLESTEROL free, CARB free, PROTEIN free and GLUTEN free!!! ALMOST everything they make tastes either good to VERY good. So far, I’ve only found TWO things to stay away from…Peanut Butter (which has NO peanuts in it) and Sweet Onion salad dressing. Everything else they make is good…to MY taste buds, anyway.

          1. I found the Walden products a little odd. I bought quite a few and returned them. However, I just started the diet and after being on it for a while I may look forward to a different taste and then turn back to those…who knows…they have a big selection to choose from.

    3. I have over 100 lbs to lose too. But my goals are 50 at a time. That is easier to manage. I just started on 3/16/11 so have a LOOONG way to go. I am actually excited about it!! Best of luck to you JeAnne. I did splurge and buy me a bracelet that says “believe”. If I believe in myself and my coach and this plan, I can do it! Hopefully the reminder attached to my wrist will pay off. That an lots of prayers from friends :).

  2. My first blog. My second round on Medifast. Lost over 50# before back surgery and kept it off until the past few months. Stress/pain cycle and limited exercise. Here I go again! It was really easy before. Why can’t I get started ??? I have to for my back. They did a fusion and the more weight the more pain. Reading your success helps motivate me!!!

  3. Is it possible to include the information we need for our journals: Lean/Leaner/Leanest, Healthy Fat, Vegetables and Condiments? That would help a lot! Thanks for your consideration.

  4. i’ve only been on MF for a week now and the first few days were tough. im a eater and dont really need a reason to do it. i eat when im sad mad or happy. but being on this diet is teaching how to not over eat and about portion something i knew nothing about. im also glad the recipes are here because it makes it much easier for me to stay focus. reading all of you all comments keep me encouraged. THANKS ALL OF YOU!!!!!

  5. Hi everyone!! I just started my MF journey wanting to lose at least 50-60 lbs, today is my first day!! I’m hoping this works for me. I’ve tried so many different programs. I am very happy to see recipe ideas because my problem has always been not knowing what to eat, how to prepare it and how much. I am getting married in August of this year so I want to look good in my dress!!

  6. I started at 163 in October, and started Transition when I reached 125 a couple of weeks ago. I called the process Carb Detox, and no longer crave carbs. When I do crave something, I have a SMALL amount of it, and get back on program. Having access to the recipes on this site made weight loss easier for my husband and me. I encourage all the new Medifast participants to use this resource, both for recipes and support. The journey is worth it!

  7. Hey guys I am starting today!! I really need to lose 50 pounds. I have never committed to any diet before, after reading your comments about your success it really gives me hope! Thanks for everything and I cannot wait to express my success! WarEagleGirl

    1. I started my journey Feb 10th. So in 4 1/2 months I have lost 65 pounds. I have 40 more pounds to go! The food does taste better after about a month! I add cinnamon to my maple and brown sugar oatmeal and that helps a lot! Also, try the cappuccino frozen. I warm 1 cup of water for 45 seconds, add 1 packet of cappuccino, mix with a blender stick, add 1/2 cup of ice and then blend it, then add another 1 to 1 1/2 cups of ice (for desired thickness) and blend it. It reminds me of the McDonald’s carmel frappe! A must have daily (get the calorie burn cappuccino and it has green tea and caffeine in it)!

  8. New to this site, I think it’s great. Can’t wait to try some of the recipes, they really sound good. I lost 30# in ~ 3 months. Works great and as someone said stay focused. Don’t look behind, keep looking forward to a healthier YOU!!!!

  9. I started Medifast September 1st….In 5 weeks I have lost 24 pounds. My goal is 50 pounds so i am just about half way there. Medifast has been the easiest diet I have been on, and the easiest to follow. I find that eating every 2-3 hours is the key for me. If I am getting hungry, I know I have a small meal to look forward to shortly. I really like the soups, pancakes, chili, oatmeal and choc shakes. Not at all fond of the softbakes…have tried a few times and they are really bad. Just my opinion. I am SO encouraged by my quick weight loss, and know I will be able to stick to it to lose what I want. As with any diet, determination is the key…you have to really want it. This diet makes it so easy..no tracking or counting…Best of luck to everyone on their own similar journeys.

  10. Today is my 1st day. I did great all day with the shakes n oatmeal n soup. Texture is a thing i think i will have to use alot of mind over matter with, but i know i can do it! Also, i work an awake night shift 11pm-7am or i work 16-24hrs straight. That is going to be the hardest part about doing this diet cuz my days n nights are so mixed up. But i am totally up for this challenge!

  11. I started March 2 with my doctor’s blessing. My husband started with me I have over 100 lbs to lose ideally 125 but I would be happy with 100. I am doing it for health reasons. I am 60 years old and I have many aches and injuries besides being diabetic. So since today is March15 I have been on the plan for just shy of 2 weeks. I have dropped 12 lbs without cheating at all. No exercising yet because of bad knee and herniated disks but i will get there. This is the first time my husband has supported me. He has lost 11 lbs and rides a bike 20-30 miles every day. Keep the stories and recipes coming they are very motivating!
