Okay… so I am in the thick of it now. The first 3 days of Medifast aren’t so great, but I know from experience that it gets way better. I woke up this morning with a weird taste in the back of my throat. This is the taste I associate with ketosis starting, so hopefully I am right.

And here we go… I will be documenting 31 Days on Medifast for your reading pleasure. I’ve been laying some emotional/psychological groundwork for my weight loss this time. Over the past 6-9 months, I haven’t been very mindful about anything that I’ve been doing – and that includes what I put into my body. Last summer I was at the best weight I’d been at in probably 10 years. I was feeling pretty great. And then I totally blew it.

We’re now almost halfway into January and I am happy to report that I’m still experiencing quick weight loss. I have slipped up a couple of times and that was mainly due to alcohol and not food.
