Garlic Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 3 tbs of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
  • 3 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, diced
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbs of soy sauce (for extra flavor)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (for extra flavor)

Directions

Saute garlic in pan with olive oil at medium heat until you begin to smell the garlic aroma. Add broccoli to the the pan with a half cup of water. Bring to a boil then simmer 2 minutes (with lid on). Add salt and pepper to taste.  Add soy sauce and sesame oil.

Servings: 2

Note: You will need to pair this with a lean meat or another source of protein (e.g. tofu) to make it a complete Lean and Green meal.

  1. Kale is hardy here right now- so instead of the broccoli I used kale then added a chicken breast for the “lean” DELICIOUS!!
