If you’ve been following the blog, you’ve probably surmised that I didn’t have the best week. Despite my best intentions, I strayed from the true path of Medifast a couple of times. The results are living proof of my bad decisions.
Starting Weight: 223 pounds
Saturday July 18: 215 pounds
Weight Loss for Week Two: 3 Pounds
This is pretty lame, but all my own fault. I think keeping track of this here is actually going to help keep me accountable. I am going for 100% hardcore on program for the next 7 days (and beyond). Consider me your guinea pig and let’s see what happens.
As penance, I am actually going to post some body pics, so you can see the gory details.
I wish I had a topless pic to show you from the day I started Medifast, but I don’t. I was too mortified at the site of my own body to even consider taking a picture. I could barely stand to look at myself without a shirt on, and the thought of taking photos was too much to bear. I will post some clothed before photos on the About page soon.

But things are starting to shrink. The man-boobs are reducing (You should have seen them before). And my spare tire is getting smaller, too. I don’t have the weird, mottled stretch marks on my sides that I did when I was really fat.
Still, I’ve got quite a bit of work to do. Right now, I consider myself to be at a pretty average level of obesity for a thirtysomething U.S. male. But that’s not going to cut it for me. I am going to be skinny and fit.
29 pounds to go.
