31 Days of Medifast – Day 9

“We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success.” – Henry David Thoreau

My recent computer problems have really screwed up these progress reports, so I have simplified them a little bit. In previous reports, I was reporting on the previous day while giving that mornings weigh in. This was a kind of terrible way to do it because even I was getting confused.

So I am just going to make it a short one today. As of day 9 and I’ve lost six pounds. These are not exactly awesome results for a man, I feel like I should have already lost 10 pounds. But, I refuse to be get disappointed yet.

The initial excitement and drama have kind of worn-off and now I’m just doing it. It’s kind of settled into a routine. Medifast is really pretty easy once you get into the groove. It’s particularly easy if you don’t rea towards red wine.

Day 9: Weigh-In

STARTING WEIGHT (01/04/2010): 221 lbs.
TODAY’S WEIGHT (01/12/2010):
215 lbs.

  1. Chris,
Thanks for sharing your journey. You ARE going to make this happen and you are doing the right thing by being mindful about what decisions you are making about what you eat and why. This program is more about making a decision to choose to do things differently around food than it is “magic diet food”. I’m glad to see you understand that and are sharing what you’ve learned. We need more folks like you!

    1. Hey Tina – Thanks for your comment and encouragement. I’m definitely happy with how things are going and this morning really noticed a visible change in how I’m looking. So, it’s working for sure!

          1. GOOD for you! I have been on my weight loss journey with Take Shape for Life since June 11, 2011 and am down 140 LBS! I couldn’t be happier. I have 38 more to go. I thank God for Medifast and Dr. A. This plan works and is healthy and good! keep up the fantastic work! You are going to rock it! πŸ™‚

  2. Chris! Yay U! OK….9 days, 6 pounds…or .67th of a pound LOST each day. Better than gaining! πŸ™‚

Hang in there. I know the “thrill” is over, but as you progress, you will find that you begin to experiment with the Lean and Greens, food will just taste better and that feeling of lightness will grow and grow. I’ve been on program for 6 mos now, I lost 55…its awesome! Yeah…the red wine will ALWAYS be there, staying on track keeps you in fat-burning mode. That keeps me from eating or drinking anything that is not legal.

  3. I am so glad my TSFL guru gal pointed me to this blog. I too grew up in Texas (San Antonio) and I am just used to eating and cooking that way. My husband and I moved to Portland about 15 years ago and I learned to cook texmex as a pure survival skill! Long story short, after 3 kids and a slowing metabolism, I am in serious need of learning how to eat right. I have about 85 pounds to lose and I personally know 2 people who lost over 100 lbs. on this diet. Keep the recipes coming! I am trying your taco salad this weekend and I love your style of writing.

    1. “Brett” don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a healthy way of eating. Diets come and go but this will be a new way of eating for me. It feels too good being healthy to go back to putting the junk in my body that I used to eat. I like no pain and fewer meds. It works for me!

  4. Hey, I just stumbled upon your blogs, and as I was reading them I didn’t realize that it was so recent. I just started today on feb. 16 and I am looking forward to becoming a success story. Let me know how everythigs going.

    Thanks for writing
    Judy

  5. Thanks so much for the recipes, and encouragement, I started on Jan 14th and Ive lost 22 lbs, but got discouraged. and today messed up some. I am starting NOW , to get back on track. I feel this is my last chance diet, (or should I say , way of eating differently) Ive tried so many different diets, I lose but gain most of it back. this time I want to change and NOT gain any back, I read a lot of Blogs, which really encourage me. I’m not computer savey, so I don’t know how to make my own Blog or be able to converse with anyone’s blog. But I continue to read alot. I’ve got 135lbs to go. Thanks again. SunnyinBham

    1. Hello SunnyinBham! Losing 22 lbs is great! That’s 22 closer to your goal! and 22 less you have to lose! I just started the Take Shape For Life Medifast program last week. I have 210 lbs to lose. I have to approach this in 10 pound increments. If I let myself think about the long journey ahead I get panicky thinking I can’t do it. So, my struggle is to think of this as learning a new way to eat and think to myself that I am eating to live. NOT living to eat! Think of the food as fuel to keep you running and running healthily. Don’t beat yourself up when you have a difficult day. Just get right back on track and put it behind you. Have a great day!

      1. Hi, Patty,
Thanks for the encouragement. I find that this time it has been different,
I have the Blog Friends to read and get so much help. I am going to make a Charm Bracelet, as a reward. I read that someone else did this and I won’t reward myself with food. So good luck to you, with
Gods help and our many friends in MF we can make it.
        Thanks again.

        1. Hi Sunny and Patty.

I too have over 100 lbs to lose. Have lost 13 in the first week, I do know most of that was water weight, but it’s still progress! Hopefully you take this the right way, but I am glad to see a few others with lots to lose. I am doing this plan with some friends, but they need to lose 20 to 30. Great for them, but they don’t understand my problems/situation.

I haven’t been this excited in a long time about a program. Not sure why it has just clicked. Plus I have lots of folks praying for me and I know that helps. I did buy a bracelet that says “believe”. I don’t plan to take it off. That is all I need … belief in myself. Would love to keep in contact with the two of you. If you are interested, reply and I will include my email.

Happy for everyone on this blog, regardless of how much you have to lose. Downward ho! πŸ™‚

          Deb

          1. Hi Deb,
I know its been a while since I’ve been here, being busy alot.
It has been 11 wks. now and I’m doing well. I’ve lost 36 lbs. now. I’m still excited about MF. Sometimes I forget to eat but my body tells me when its time. I have been going to different places and I take my Bars, shakes , and I do really well. Not tempted much at all. I just make sure that I eat before I go. So I hope all you are doing well, I always say a Prayer at night before I go to sleep to Help you all.
SunnyinBham (actually , it is raining now. πŸ™‚ )

          2. Hi Deb
I have over 100 lbs to lose also so I know what u mean.
Thanks for sharing and I would like to keep in touch with you.
            Deb

      2. Patty,
Hi! I have a similar weight loss goal as you. Because I have never been a healthy weight I don’t know what is right for me, so I have some where between 150-200 lbs to lose. Your approach of 10 lbs at a time is a great way to look at it. That positive thinking will keep up motivated and not discouraged. I wish you the best success on your life changing journey. I’ll be right there with you! πŸ™‚
        Heather

        1. Deb — so far, I’m down 115 lbs in 7 1/2 months! I have had ‘slip up’ but not too many. My goal is to lose another 40 and be DONE! Then comes the hard part — learning how to maintain and live with half of me gone! Hope you’re doing well.
          Deb

  6. I lost 105lbs with the Medifast 5&1 plan so I am here to tell you hang in there and stick with it, it works! Also want to remind you that you can get a free health coach to help you stay on track. Just send an email to medifast and let them know you’d like a coach and they will work to get someone assigned to you.

    1. Tina,
With wonderful testimonials like yours,It helps us to keep the Faith, and
Hope , that we WILL make it too!!

        1. I just read this Tina — YOU are an inspiration! How long have you kept it off? I am not about pounds right now — sure I have a goal weight, but I am not going to let numbers trip me up. I actually have three goals. In 50 or 40 pound increments.
          Appreciate you posting.
          Deb

  7. Hi, I just ordered my medifast diet last week and got the confirmation that it was shipped today so I found this site tonight and am really encouraged to see everyones results. I have put on 60 pounds in this last year which I know has alot to do with the stress I have experienced over a terrible divorce and becoming a single mom to four kids. I was in denial for awhile acting as if I just didnt notice the pounds creeping on as I had to keep buying bigger and bigger clothes(going up 6 sizes) this past year. Well last week I stepped on the scale I had hidden in the closet and realized I am 42 Lbs heavier then the day I had my TWINS six years ago!!!!!! All the feelings of how bad I feel about myself and my body were right there in that number. I ordered medifast the next day. I am ready to be accountable for my weight and not to act like its ok to eat everything in sight just because I am stressed. I cannot wait to start this. I have 100 lbs. to lose. I know I can do it.

      1. Thanks:), today was my first day of mf diet, it went great actually…looooove the oatmeal raisin bars, love the banana shake….not to happy with the blueberry oatmeal but I can deal with it…but the broccoli cheese soup I had to choke down…I’m not hungry so that is great….can’t wait to try all the products and lose this weight:)

        1. I started 12 days ago and have lost approximately 15 lbs. I know alot of it is fluid but it has me pumped! I love this site. The recipes are great and the comments are helpful and helping me stay focused. I weigh in again on Saturday (end of wk 2)

        2. Jodie,
I really like the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Beef Stew, it is a really good lunch meal. I also I do like the Oatmeals for Breakfast. The Crisps are really good to. I really don’t know of any I really don’t like. That is one thing with this diet , it all tastes good to me. I eat my Lean and Green Meal at around 3pm. It is early but I don’t like to go to bed on a full stomack.

          1. Well I have been on the program for two weeks tomorrow. I have lost 14lbs. so far. I didn’t have any trouble first week with being hungry but this week has been a little harder. I hope I can keep losing.

        3. I have not had the Broccoli Cheese soup, but I have had the Cream of Broccoli soup and I like to add between frozen spinach to make creamed spinach and I can knock out required vegetables. Try it..you might like it! I do!

    1. Jodie,
Congratulations on your first 14 lbs! That is awesome. Just think…you’ve lost 14% of your goal!! πŸ™‚ Keep it up! I hope the hunger feeling has settled down this week. Drink a lot of water, maybe that will help. Good luck Jodie!!

      1. Thanks Heather…today is 43 days and I have lost 23 pounds…I am very happy with that, but only lost 1 pound this last week…hope this week is better…its weird the comments on this site from two weeks ago just showed up on the site for me today…I have to say I have had a few really rough days with cravings lately.

  8. So happy I had the opportunity to find this site. I started the Medifast Diet on March 1st. Tomorrow I’m scheduled for my FIRST weigh in. Im nervous. I’ve been 100% compliant with the diet but no really sure about my meat portions due to not having a scale. My starting weight was 268. my goal is to reach 145, I anticipate checking in on the site often to update everyone and to check in on your progress as well. Until then my Medifast family, be blessed and strong.

    1. FatFreeinMD,
How was your first weigh-in? I hope you are having great success. Did you go to Wal-mart and get a $10 scale yet? If not…GO! πŸ™‚
      Heather

    2. Wow!…we started on the same day and at almost the same weight:)…I started at 240 and my goal is 140….so far I’ve my loss is 16lbs:):):)….so happy for that…how did your weigh in go?

      1. Ok…so today is 30 days…I’ve lost 22 pounds…pretty happy with that but worried how fast it came off first two weeks and then only 6 pounds in last two weeks…hoping will not slow anymore.

        1. I’m at 6 weeks, 27pounds. This is the easiest thing I have ever done!! I eat out 2-3 times a week for my lean and green. Usually grilled shrimp, green beans and a salad. I went to a church dinner one night and there was NOTHING I could eat so I nibbled but still maintained. I love this! My hubby has been doing it along with me, not as strictly and has lost 22 pounds. The support on this site is awesome!

          1. I am looking for restuarant guidance for the lean and green meals! By the way, today is my first day. I am hoping to lose 82 lbs. After reading everyones post I am encouraged. Thanks to everyone for sharing your journey.

          2. I love your idea’s for lean and green. I have been using the Take Shape for Life Program which features the Medifast food products. In 4 months I have lost 42 pounds. This program teaches you how to loose the weight and never find it again. I am now a health coach for Take Shape for Life. If anyone wants a coach feel free to visit my website achievehealthylife.tsfl.com and contact me. I would love to share with you what I have learned.

  9. Help? I would love some feedback and so glad I found this blog. It is great to talk about the process with others.
I started MF on March 6 so at the start of Day 6, I’ve lost 2.8 lbs. I have at least 40 to lose (50 would be better). My frustration is that I started this diet at the same time that two of my friends (1 male, 1 female) started two different diets – they both do not have as much weight to lose as I do – and they have both lost 5 or more lbs in 5 or less days!!! I know that most of the first week is water weight loss but it is still frustrating. The only things I have had other than the foods are the snack of some nuts (about 10 from a 100 calorie pack), and probably a little more olive oil than I should have on my salads and a few shaves of parmesan cheese (just a few!)
I’d love to hear some feedback from others on this.
Also- I already have a planned “off day” – friends are coming to stay with me for the weekend and we are going out for a day in the city. The best I can see me doing is carrying a few bars with me in lieu of lunch out and having a L&G dinner – but I know I will have some wine. What do you think – is it better to simply go off it for the day and save those bars and “re-start” when they leave? or have those 4 meals I can manage while on the go and let the dinner and wine be the cheat? Help?!

    1. Hi WineLover! It’s been a few days since you posted your comments. I hope you have been doing well. I’ve been a member for about two and a half months and have lost 40lbs so far. I have a lot more to go. Hopefully a life coach or Medifast staff will answer your food questions. My coach told me to eat Medifast meals before and after my planned “off” meal and to be strict before and after. Try to eat as healthy as possible during your “off” meal. After the event, move on and get back on track.

Throughout my weight loss journey, I have many emotional high’s and low’s and I believe comparing your success to another persons could be a stumbling block. Just focus on yourself and staying true to the program and be happy with your progress no matter the pace. You should speak to your counselor or life coach for better advice. I wish you the best success!!

    2. I’m new at this, but I would still do the bars if you can, then “cheat” at dinner. One cheat is better than falling off altogether for a complete I would think. I am not a wine lover, but have a friend who is. She probably has 2 to 4 glasses a week and it hasn’t seemed to bother her too much. But she doesn’t have much to lose so if it does slow her down, its not that big of a deal. Someone like me, with lots to lose it might matter more.

    3. Hi Winelover, if you make up your mind you are going to cheat before you go you will. Keep your goal in mind – what it is you want for yourself! A glass of unsweetened tea would work to sip on while your friends are sipping on their wine. Remember, nothing tastes as good as slim feels. You will not be happy with yourself if you cheat but if you eat and drink a healthy meal you will be so proud of yourself the next day – and remember….after you lose your weight all these things come back in your daily way of eating but in a controlled manner. Keep up the good work – you can do this. You are so worth it.

      Jean

  10. Christoper,
I’m just checking on you. You have been missing from your website for over a month. I hope you have been well.
    Heather

  11. Hello, Everyone,
Hope you all are doing really good, and still keeping On Plan, It’s the start of another
month, time is going on. I keep myself motivated, by thinking by next June, (2012)
I should be doing Maintance. I know it seems a long time but I have so much to lose. I’m going to do this right , it will be the Last Diet I”m on. I am afraid to “cheat”. I don’t want it to trigger me into thinking I can cheat and get by with it.
I won’t lose as fast as I should if I do. As a friend says “Choose Wisely”.
    Sandra

  12. Hi, I’m a newbie! I just made my first order for my medifast meals. I am kind of really excited but then I start to think “am I going to like the foods”, what about the lean green meals, the majority of them don’t sound too good to me. Most of the foods that I can eat, aren’t even on the different MF lists. I hope my coach is ready for me, because I have a feeling I will be calling her alot. I really enjoyed reading everyone else’s experiences, ups and downs, I can’t wait to write my experiences on the blog. Keep your fingers crossed.

    1. Hi Sandy,

i just saw your post and I’m where you were a few months ago. How has or did the Plan work for you? I’m interested because I’m expecting my order in a week or so.

      Thanks,

      Nicole

  13. Sorry I haven’t kept in touch, but was at a family reunion in Burnet, TX last week. I did okay the first few days, then got some disturbing news from home about my daughter/expecting grandchild and some health issues, and I just totally blew it the last few days. I returned to comfort eating, but today is Monday and I am back in the saddle, so to speak. I want to do this right. I have been on MF for about 8 weeks, lost about 27 lbs, then had my oooops week. So, returning to program, and continuing on. Thanks for all your comments, truly empowering and encouraging.

  14. I gave my wrong email address. I want to use this one so I can access info from my phone easier. Thanks guys, sorry for the messup.

  15. Since I changed my email address, I may have lost my previous posting. I am encouraged by all the comments. I have been on program for about 8 weeks, lost 27 lbs, then went to family reunion in Burnet, TX last week. While there, I got some disturbing news about daughter/expecting child/ health issues and my mom got pneumonia, so I resorted to comfort eating the last few days. I totally blew it! But, I am back home in Cali, and today is another day. I am on program again, and will continue to read this blog, get recipes, and continue on towards my goal. Thanks for the encouragement. We can do this together. Yes, we can!

  16. Hello to the fam of great encouragers!! I have 20 to 25 pounds to lose. I have been working out and wathcing my diet for months but I always seem to stay at that 178-180 mark! I am getting older and do not want this weight on! Do I have to go into the clinic or just order the program and speak with a coach for success? I believe the office visits are more costly especially when I am on a budget right now. Any feedback?

    1. Hi! Moneshia,
You do not need to go into a clinic to sign up. You can see my website achievehealthylife.tsfl.com and call me. I would be happy to get you all signed up and coach you though the program.

  17. Ok….I need to lose weight. I weigh around 250 but will confirm this week when I begin MF. I don’t know how much weight I should lose…but I’m thinking I would like to be below the 200 mark for sure. I only ordered shakes and bars for now. I plan on switching it up with those for my 5 meals then the lean/green meal for my dinner. I have a friend and her husband that did this and was very successful at losing weight. Not sure of their numbers and for how long, but I need a kick start for sure and this hopefully will be it for me. I don’t retain info on what foods are high/low in fat, carbs, protein and calories so I always am lousy when choosing foods on and off diets. I am hoping to make a 2 week committment with MF plan and exercise..if I see some results then I will possibly buy other products….I am 48 and really want to make some healthly lifestyle changes. After my sedond child, I went on Nutrisysem and was very successful, but eventually gained weight because I didn’t learn to eat well, I just ate their “spacefood”. So wish me luck and I am hoping that the lean/green recipes will really help me offer variety to my family and keep me on track!!

    1. Hi! Chery I was wondering how your two weeks went on the program? I hope you are keeping on track with your goals.

  18. Hello Christopher I started the program about two weeks ago. In my first week I lost 11lbs. I was shocked considering I have been trying to lose weight on different diets. My problem wasn’t overeating it was under-eating. I only ate twice a day at best. I really did get hungry. I drank a lot of water and breakfast was usually around 12 – 1. My greatest dilemma is eating so many times. I wanted to quit the first few days because I had to force myself to eat with no hunger and trust me its just as hard as being hungry. I am currently weighing 226. I never thought I would see that number again. I can’t wait to get to the 100’s. Thank you for this blog. I happened to find it looking for recipies. I think its great and your updates really help. Thank You.

  19. Hi all, I just found you all. Lost my weight w/ MF in 2004 & have stayed this same new size since losing…until…my mother was taken ill & I was her caregiver. Gained 25 lb in 6 mo. Am back on MF to lose it and hopefully keep it off another 6 yrs at least. A BIG HELP is making 2 soups in the morning while making oatmeal. Put soups in a good Thermos. Hot 24 hrs. I love Chick n Rice/Tomato soups mixed. Another help was following the “not one drop of alcohol”. (slow metabolism). After 5 months losing my wt. in 2004 I got off MF, AND THEN had some wine, but not during…

  20. Chris,
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us. I am waiting on my MediFast materials to arrive and I, too, will be starting this journey. I wish you the best of luck!

    1. Hi! Tamela

How are you doing on your journey? I have some recipes I can share with you if you need them. I started my journey in November 2010 so far so good. I’m down 45 pounds and keeping it off. Feel free to email me at achievehealthylife@gmail.com

  21. Hi Everyone,
I just ordered my MF 2 week meals. I thought I would start to try it out to see if I would really get the results that I’ve read so much about. I’ve never had to lose weight before but it seems like once you turn 42 everything just changes.

Has anyone incorporated exercise with their program. If so did it improve your results? I’m excited to have a plan where I don’t have to think about everything that goes into my mouth. Also, I travel a lot so I’m hoping this will be an opportunity for me to be consistent. Thanks for having this site as I think it will help me a lot.

    1. Hi Nicole,
Yes, we can agree on things changing after 40 something. I started in the end of June at 210lbs and stepped on the scale this morning at 179, can you say WooHoo!?! I’m walking in the evening about half and hour, nothing fast paced, just enough to be able to walk and talk with the hubby without getting winded (this is our wind down for the long work day) and if your in the kitchen cooking and your just standing waiting for something to finish cooking, take out a can of something and give your arms a light workout, building muscle helps burn fat, but don’t overdo it or you’ll get out of fat burning and that’s when you notice your craving foods or your really hungry. And definitely make sure to drink ALL of your water, clean water in, fat and dirty water out, it’s amazing what it will do for your complexion too! Good Luck πŸ™‚

  22. Chris, I think you have done well and I really encourage you to keep at it. I am going to be checking in periodically to give you some encouragement. Keep at it and you will win through.

  23. Your story is so encouraging!!! Great results.

Do you have any recipes for using the Brownie mix they provide?
We can’t stand them (my husband and I) and I need to know how to
fiddle with them to make them better.
    Thanks

    1. Grammic — add cinnamon. It is the only way I can eat them. Makes them better. Chocolate chip cookies are coming tomorrow I believe. I’ve tried them and they’re pretty good. The brownies are more “fudgier” when baked in the oven too. Hope that helps!

  24. My husband was not excited about starting but after one week he finds he like the food and has been very enthusiastic because he is never hungry unlike other diets he has tried over the years. We are doing
it together and it makes for great mutual support. Need a recipe to use up the brownie mix – ughhh.

  25. i am a little (let’s say more then a little) overweight but i never could follow a slimming program to the end.
reading about your experince motivates me to try again hopping this time i’ll do it.
    fingers crossed

    1. Noris,
I am excited that you are motivated to lose weight. I am a Health Coach with Take Shape For Life which uses the Medifast food products. I would be more then happy to help you though your journey. Last year I started my journey and as of today I have kept it off. Feel free to contact me achievehealthylife@gmail.com

  26. Hey, This is not a disappointment. This is success. Six Pound in ten days is extraordinary result. Good luck…

  27. Merry Christmas to all!!
I have been on a Doctors supervised Medifast diet program for 60 days . I am happy to report I have lost 50Lbs in that time. Starting weight 327.4Ò€¦.. TodayÒ€ℒs weight 276.6. My goal weight is somewhere around 210. I have found this diet, combined with the regular Doctors and dietician visits, very easy to follow. The information and tips on this sight have really been a huge help in enhancing the flavors and keeping the meal plans fresh. On my last visit to the doctor he told me my muscle mass has not changed at all, so all the weight I have lost is mostly fat. I know this pace will not continue but with the significant changes in how my hips and knees feel I am motivated times 10
to keep going. I have already cut my insulin intake by 3/4 and some of my pills are now half doses. I encourage everyone on Medifast to keep going. The words of encouragement and the shared progress reports on this sight are both insightful and enlightening. Keep up the good work and Have a safe and Happy New Year
    Bob

  28. Hello to you all!
I love that i have found this site of fellow MF users. I have done the plan in the past and lost 70 lbs in 4 months. I had my daughter shortly after and due to personal issues did not get back on the program and have since gain back all i lost plus another 10. Before the holidays i had a told my husband i was going to do the plan again however this time i would reach my goal!. I am motivated and have many exciting things to look forward to as i progress on this journey. I have found that amusement park rides really are restricting and last summer i BARELY could buckle the belt for a ride with my daughter…airplane seats are small too and being a traveler i have stopped traveling because of fear of being told i need to purchase another seat. Maid of honor gowns are far more revealing and can be uncomfortable to stand in front of others with. So why all the babble….well my goal by August is to have lost enough to comfortably sit in an airplane seat with no worry as we travel with my daughter to Disney and be able to enjoy every ride without worrying or “squeezing” in. And because in October my very best friend has requested me to be her matron of honor in her wedding…So i look to these as my rewards for my dedication..instead of food….and man will it be worth it to look and feel good in a hot dress.
I wish you all the best withyour personal journey and look forward to keeping updated regularly. BTW i have 120 lbs to lose and take every lb as a success!

  29. Hi, I joined MF Oct 5, 2011. I weighed 206 lbs. On Dec 31 I weighed 176. so good! but then my daughter came home on winter break, my son who suffers from mental illness had a severe psychotic break and all sorts of bad things. I felt selfish thinking of me…I went to into MF center yesterday, had only gained .9 lbs. I’m ready to start again–at least I can have control over SOMETHING in my life πŸ™‚

  31. So its Sunday today, and i’m feeling so good! I havent lost any more weight, but I feel good. I’m looking forward to weighing in on Thursday. I try not to get on the scale every morning because I get frustrated that way, so here’s to Thursday!

  32. I started TSFL in 2010 and lost 70 lbs. You just keep at it and really change the way you think about food. Read your book and do what it says and really change the way you live now. I am so much happier and healthier. I have had a bit of a set back but am getting back on track. It is amazing to me how differently I think about food and what I consider eating bad as well as good now. I have changed so many ways all positive directions. I am an emotional eater and my mom died so I am recouping and still learning about myself. Keep up the good work.

  33. I started MF on Oct 26 and have lost 27 lbs. – wish it was more as I have
about 40 more to go – my biggest problem is night eating – I stay up late
and find that I get hungry so I get an extra bar or a bag of cheese puffs-
also I usually do my lean green for lunch which is usually precooked beef
strips or chicken strips, lettuce, tomato & cucumber slices – I’m getting
real tired of that but don’t know what else I want to eat that’s easy to fix
I cook regular meals for my husband but can’t eat that – I’m finally starting
at the gym next week so hope that helps – really enjoy all the tips on here
I’m also a very senior citizen and haven’t done any exercise in years

  34. I started my medifast on Sept 1st so now 13 days later I am down by 9 lbs. Its is easy to follow, I am tempted daily but chose to do this instead. I was surprised I don’t feel cravings but just see food others are eating and wish I could have again. The excitement of losing takes over though and I have more energy after those first few days of feeling totally exhausted and now I am up early, I work at home so Im cleaning house at the same time and since its nice outside I weeded, mowed lawns and just can’t seem to sit still. I do have a ways to go about 50 more lbs and then Im worried how I will maintain but I know my coach will help. I was encouraged reading all your sucess stories and happy for each and every one of you.
