Bandflex Home Gym – Review

If you’re looking for an affordable way to work out at home, the Bandflex Home Gym is an excellent option. From the moment you lay eyes on it, you’ll know that this home gym is seriously influenced by popular products like Bowflex and the Weider Crossbow. While the Bandflex Home Gym offers a lot of value for the money, it’s definitely not of the same high quality.

While it will get the job done when it comes to at home strength training, the Bandflex Home Gym just feels a little flimsier than its counterparts. As its name implies, the Bandflex is a band-type resistance training system. The Bandflex Home Gym uses a system of six bands – 3 on each side. You stretch them as you lift. If you want more resistance, you can adjust the bands with a simple click.

bandflex home gymOver time the bands will gradually stretch out which means that you need to replace them on a regular basis to still get the maximum out of your home workout. Bandflex sells replacement bands for around $5, so I would definitely advise getting a replacement set at the outset.

One area where the Bandflex Home Gym really excels is that it offers up to 260 pounds of resistance. This is some pretty serious firepower for this type of home gym system and actually blows away the Weider Flex Gym in this area.

In summary, the Bandflex Home Gym is a great value at 1/3 the price of the machines that inspired it. It’s a pretty good duplication of the Bowflex. It’s well built, stable, offers a variety of exercise and folds up to take up less space in your house. So, if you’re in the market for a low-end resistance training system that still provides some bang for your buck, the Bandflex Home Gym would be an excellent choice.
